Study of Jeffrey Bernard Painting

Charlie Tipthorp. Born 1972 . London based painter . I am a self taught painter who strive to find my own techniques supposed to being taught them. My opinion is that since the invention of the mechanical and computer aids such as film and photography there is no point in illustration . When painting I am trying to Record the human figure in the the camera cannot do. Art is artefact so the more artificial I can make it I hope the more intense it will be. The size of most of my paintings are 140/100cm. The portraits are 35/30cm. All my paintings are painted on the unprimed side of linen canvas and are stretched on the stretcher bars . All paintings are signed dated and titled on the back . I can't be contacted via my website or Facebook .
