Like an artist working in the style of new romanticism I'm rethinking traditional painting techniques. Using classical methods to create artist's own world without direct imitation of reality. The search for harmony in everyday life. This painting expresses the tranquility, peace, silence, loneliness in the midst of the madness of the modern world. Deserted cityscapes, empty spaces, ruins of the ancient cities, quiet waters are painted on canvas in a realistic manner. This is an attempt to sort out the chaos and make a rest stop in the middle of endless movement. I live in St. Petersburg and work as an architect and artist. After studying drawing and painting in the Studio of realist artist Boris Belyaev I continue further study and the revival of painting techniques of old European masters. I prefer to paint landscapes and floral still lifes and follow classical traditions in my painting. And I'm still learning. Some of my works are in private collections in Russia, Israel, USA
