The painting, Sunflowers, Flowers of War, was painted under the influence of the events that are happening in my country, Ukraine. The war, which has been going on for three years now, has brought a lot of grief and suffering to the Ukrainian land. The sunflower has always been one of the symbols of Ukraine. This work tells about how many Ukrainians have scattered around the world like the seeds of this beautiful flower. This is nostalgia for my homeland, my friends and relatives, many of whom I will never see again ... The colors of the Ukrainian flag, yellow and blue, are taken as the basis for the composition and color - this is a symbol of the sky and endless fields of wheat and sunflowers. The work is done on canvas, in oil and has a dark brown wooden frame.
