Sunny trip to Venice Painting

I am created a piece that was captured by me in 2013, in Venice Italy as a school trip. I used my HTC phone at the time, this piece was also supported by my dad. The view was too beautiful not to capture and it was inspired by a local artist who I saw painting the same frame. I hope that viewers will see the contrast within a detailed piece at right compared to the left which was more about simplicity and was more abstract. I chose to use oil as a medium because it was great medium that is flexible at portraying both warmth as you can see in the water and sky compared to the harshness of the buildings. I would change somethings regarding this piece but I hope you enjoy this piece.
