“Born in Transylvania, Romania, throughout time, I have had the privilege to meet and interact with different cultures and mentalities, while following my life’s trajectories in some of the most beautiful cities and countries around the world: Miami, FL (USA); Hartford,CT (USA); Vienna (Austria); Brussels (Belgium); and of course, Bucharest (Romania). The years spent across the borders within which I was born and educated, had coincided with different timeframes of my life - from my youth, to my adulthood; and had tried me with events, dreams, profound feelings which I have later on tried to transpose, by expressing them through the beauty and richness of colors, in different ways. I have always profoundly understood that “ if you smile in front of life, life will smile back to you”, and for me, art in itself represents the meaning to my sensitive side. I sign my pieces under the pen name of “AlBert”, which derives from the names of my dear children, Alexandra and Robert, whom I deeply adore.” “There is a point at which our future, the ‘what I’m going to be’ becomes the present - the reality of ‘who I am’ and then just as quickly passes by and becomes ‘what I was’ and could have been.
