About The Artwork
It's a mixed media drawing on paper from the series of studies on compositions of animals and botanical elements or belonging to other natural spheres. In fact, the swallow communicates with a spiral shell carrying it between its legs, a pink tulip blossoms from the shell. The work is done with watercolor, ink, colored pencils and silver leaf on 640 gram 100% cotton paper. The swallow and the dreamlike environment in which it is found are finely detailed both in color and in all the meticulous parts made with ink strokes.

Irene Meniconi was born in Florence in 1986, then moved, still a child, in the Chianti shire immersed in nature that will always be the foundamental element of inspiration for his artistic creation. After graduating at the “Accademia delle Belle Arti” in Florence, the artist has collaborated with numerous companies from different sectors: from fashion, to food and wine, to publishing, interior decoration for professional offices, public and private spaces. At the same time she carries on her personal artistic work creating mixed media paintings, the result of the studies and of her artistic career brought along in years. She exhibited his works taking part in solo and group exhibitions in many Italian Galleries.
