THE PAIN OF SEEING Painting

Sometimes you don’t want to see. But you see anyway. You look away, you try so hard to look away. Reality is so painful. All around you is a mess. We have made the world such a chaotic place. Greed, hatred, jealousy, depression, betrayal, sickness….and so much more. So you look away, but you still see. You see with your emotions. And then, you must swallow the pain of that which you see with your emotional inner eye. But is it all bad? The sun shines, after all. The flowers grow. The night turns into day. And everything, just for a moment, turns to gold.
