Giovanny Páez he has maintained his fascination with the human body and anatomy, which is a recurring theme in his work. He deals with biology, sexuality, history, mythology, sports and medicine, but especially in the construction of discourses about power and control. Giovanny has kept expanding his extraordinary world by developing new narratives and symbols and creating a unique body of work. In his work combines installations, sculptures, drawings and video performances. At first, he wanted to be an actor but then quickly turned to art. In 2002, Giovanni moved to Lexington, Kentucky invited as a visiting artist and teacher for three universities and later moved to New York, USA. In 2003 he moved to Europe where he still lives and works today. Giovanny has been awarded with prizes in his native Ecuador country and international awards (among others).
