ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was inspired by events around the opera "Tannhäuser" by Richard Wagner staged in Russia. It was banned by goverment and director of theatre was convicted. The ban was attributed to ostensibly protection of religious feelings of some peoples. In this painting real lite and clean image was covered with tonns of dirty colors to isolate it from viewers and now you see only little blured parts of original and thick layer of lies on top. But from the name of paining you can understand that author hope for new parts of this opera, and happy end in final. An original impasto oil painting on a stretched high quality canvas. Painting has deep stretcher (4 cm) and it is painted around the sides, so no need for framing and ready to hang.

Hi didin't concentrate in any special technique or subject. But most part of his creations are about seascapes and boats, which symbolize freedom that he got in new life in new country.
