About The Artwork
In spring I was walking around the Temple of Apollo, north of Aegina town. There was a meadow of wildflowers growing among the ruins. Every year these flowers come around March and I think it’s an iconic view of this ancient site. There is a nice beach down below to hang out and swim with the view of the temple. We visited the museum and walked inside the site. The temple of Apollo is also known as ‘Kolona’, meaning ‘column’, because just one column remains today. It dates from the 6th century BC, even earlier than the Parthenon in Athens.
