I’m Anna Cannavale. I live in Lucca, the city where I was born. I’m a prehistoric archeologist who loves to paint. My love for painting emerged during an excavation in the Abruzzi area when a sketcher of archeological findings made me reproduce on paper the morphology of the digging and the relative findings. A lesson en plein air that I will never forget. From that day on, I’ve never stopped drawing. I’ve followed private drawing and painting courses and, on my own, I deepened my knowledge on the concepts that discipline art and color. I prefer oil painting as it responds to the slowness of my style that is licked and delicate. The subject of my works is mainly the goose, an evocative being that inspires and stimulates my creativity and is like a filter in the transcription of my thoughts. Each time I pick up a brush, a door opens through which I always find a dream to fill with colors. Painting is one of the few certitudes in life that rewards with a psychophysical pleasure which never deludes.
