The Boy Painting

I have always regarded myself as an experimenter. Each day I learn and explore something new that I test, develop and apply. I use oil-painting, acrylic and watercolour, aiming to use each technique for what they respectively allow to achieve artistically. I never know what I will paint in detail, how the finished artwork will look, my hands just do it. When artwork is in the final stages, I normally stand back and look; and I will spend more time looking at it than painting as I try to assess colour balance and overall feel.
