ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I've been painting cafes for almost 10 years, and am continually fascinated by the angles, surfaces, colors, and textures that make each interior scene unique. This is a popular cafe in Minneapolis near the arts college, often filled with thinkers and makers and artists all in deep conversation or creative thought. The historic apartment building opposite provides a great pop of color especially in the fall - winter months. The sun and reflections and shadows in this one create a wonderful sense of drama and atmosphere.
