This painting is made of English professional watercolor colors on High-quality acid-free 100% cotton paper Saunders Waterford 300 g. Each of my works is created in the following way. First, an idea is formed, supported by a feeling coming from heart and soul. Then I find a suitable nature, most often she finds me herself) Then there is a long and difficult way of photofixating her. Further, based on the photographs, I create a sketch, which can include parts of several plants. Then a rough drawing, then it is transferred to blank paper and the path of watercolor layers begins. I mainly work in multi-layer techniques. The first layers are applied using the wet technique. And then thin glazing layers are applied to each other after they have completely dried until the desired result is achieved. Artwork will be sent to you carefully packed in protective packaging.

My name is Ekaterina Kosushkina and I am a professional artist and art restorer based in Moscow, Russia. I paint over 25 years. At first 5 years - circle of fine arts at Pushkin State Museum of Art, 10 years at the Art School, then 6 years at the S.G. Stroganov Moscow State University of Art and Industry. For as long as I can remember, I have been painting and have been taking part in many exhibitions since childhood, where I have repeatedly won prizes and was a laureate. Now my achievements for example over the past 2 years: participation in more than 20 art exhibitions, restoration of more than 10 art objects of high complexity, work on a series of innovative works, creation of more than 100 artworks, prize-winning place in the All-Russian competition of botanical illustration in the project The Vanishing Beauty of Russia, participation in The lV International Botanical Art Contest, entering in The Society of Artists of Botanical Arts, The Union of Art and in The Association of plein-air artists and other. My work in the restoration of painting of temples has been repeatedly noted with a diploma and letters of thanks from the Patriarch of Moscow Kirill. I have a lot of experience in selling and sending my works abroad. I know how to pack the work well, so that it comes in value and safety. My artworks can be found in many private, municipal and corporate collections around the world – Russia, Serbia, United Kingdom, Portugal, Cyprus, Italy and in the funds of the Pushkin State Museum of Art and the Museum of S.G. Stroganov Moscow State University of Art and Industry. I have a true love for botanical painting. In my artworks, I’m mixing the style of classical botanical painting, the heritage of the Dutch Golden Age artists and my own style, maturing in technique, emotion, and expression. I have almost unlimited number of ideas and concepts in my mind, which I carefully put into my sketchbook, where they are waiting in the wings. As a restorer, I understand how important it is to use only high quality materials and follow the correct technique for bright colors and clear permanent protection. All my paintings are made with professional materials on high quality acid-free paper. Each painting is one of a kind. In childhood I spent every summer at my grandmother's dacha and spent whole days in the garden at my easel. My favorite child's work is a ripe red currant bush. Plants and other nature are an endless source of inspiration.
