About The Artwork

The USS Peleliu was an amphibious attack ship in service with the U.S. Navy from 1980-2015. She was the last ship in class to be decommissioned. The artist was stationed aboard USS Peleliu for four years, and completed this work on the occasion of her decommissioning in May of 2015. This piece depicts USS Peleliu in her major role, sending U.S. Marine AAV (Amphibious Attack Vehicles) to the beach to complete their missions while providing air support. Ready to hang.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Most of my artwork revolves around military and particularly naval subjects. This is mainly owed to my experiences during twelve years in the U.S. Navy, ten of that at sea. I enjoy painting historical subjects as well as from my own personal experiences at sea. I also enjoy portraiture and depicting people. My biggest influences are marine artists of the Dutch Renaissance, such as Van de Velde, and Romantic Period artists such as Turner.
