ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Matterhorn. Such an iconic, beautiful and instantly recognisable mountain on the border between Switzerland and Italy. The is the view from the Swiss side showing the Hörnli ridge, the usual route for climbers. If you look carefully you can just about see the Hörnli Hut on the lower part of the ridge where climbers usually spend the night before starting for the summit very early the next morning. This is a high quality oil painting on framed canvas with the edges painted so it's ready to hang as it is or can be framed with a frame of the buyer's choice. The painting has been varnished for protection.
