Power and movement transform the older ideas of perfection, harmony and balance The works of the series "The Myth - Retransformation" develop an inherent power and transfer the viewer into an energetic mood. With a lot of physical strength, Christoph Robausch deforms metal into an abstract, relief-like field of tension. The color gradients of the ink follow this transformation and set the work in a mystically tuned oscillation. The opaque intensity of the colors is lightened by a further labor-intensive process, the supporting ground breaks out and completes the whole. The picture sculpture is signed on the front and on the back with the initials cR and also dated on the back. Robausch's wall-objects and freestanding sculptures are built with manually formed aluminum. Every single step in the creative process are made by hand which gives his artworks timeless depth and a unique appeal. Most of his sculptures have a lightweight, stable supporting core enclosed by an aluminum shell. The aluminum surface of his new artworks is painted with iron pigments and is encouraged to rust. Robausch stands outside of the traditional art business. He prefers to explore how to transform the energy and mood of his physical artworks into short digital animations. His specially developed scripts unlock open spaces and times for his art.
