The opposite characteristics of snow and rocks are showed in a precise moment , the solitude of the morning witnessing the rising temperature . Unbecoming fluid again , water drizzles through the crevices , lichen and moss sodden by its passage . The mountain ground , of rocks and dirt , is reclaiming its true colour , shined by the transparent passage of the melted snow , the whiteness lost . From a distance , its unremarkable dynamic can be found anywhere on the stony mountain , but , up close , one can see the uniqueness of the moment , the fingerprint of the winter .

The motivation of my painting is the memory of a precise moment , the concrete depiction of an abstract thought , the recalling of a feeling , the witnessing of the impact of time on physical spaces , the dynamic of elements evolving . all my paintings have a visual impact from a distance , striking colours combined with multiple media . i may use coal, wax, gesso, plaster, cement, moss, plastic sheets, sand, glue ... a 3d texture to stimulate the eye of the viewer . Yet , it is at closer distance that the true identity of the artwork reveals itself ; observing in details the various media interacting on the canvas allows us to “ see “ its title .
