It tore a hole in her heart, Like a gun shot on the mark, Her pieces fluttered down on earth, Scattering around her world that was, A scream tore through her core, But silent it was for those around, Arms flaying, twisted, morbid dance, In sync with the screaming innards, Living the nightmare of such loss, Can one survive this, reckon those around. The recent pandemic left grief and suffering in its wake. The broken families were seen in every neighbourhood around the world. The suffering of our friends left us with a feeling of helplessness. In this painting I want to share the violent agony of a loss. A scream that tears your soul but can’t be heard.
