The Story of Us Painting

Ty Wong's abstract expressionistic piece "The Story of Us" is an intuitive abstract painting exploring the universal human desire for connection and belonging. Made during the height of 2020's Covid pandemic, this piece explores the shadow sides patterns hidden inside the human subconscious. The bold primary colors narrate the story of one's inner child's longing for acknowledgement and acceptance with an invitation for the light of Presence. This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting on 1.5" thick gallery wrapped canvas executed in acrylic, oil, oil pastel and various oil glazes. The finishing is mostly matte containing spot areas of varying degrees of satin and gloss varnish to protect from dirt and light. The canvas has considered, finished sides and is wired and ready to hang.
