Nima was born in Ramat-Gan, Israel in 1932. As a young girl, her father, Ze'ev Novik, used to take her on many trips around mandatory Israel. While he was searching for unsullied pieces of land to purchase, Nima used to look around enjoying the view. Profoundly impressed, she started drawing and painting the countryside scenery. These early sketches and drawings served as a basis for her later work as a mature artist. Nima began her art education and training at the Avni Institute of Fine Arts in Tel Aviv under the tuition guidance of Yehezkel Streichman and Moshe Propes. Immediately after her studies she got married to Shimon Oplatka, a member of the well respected Jerusalem family and scion of Rabbi Isaac Prague Oplatka, who was, among other things, a pioneer in the intermingling of exiles among the Jerusalem religious community in the 19th century. Following her marriage, and especially during the 1960's and 1970's, Nima concentrated on abstract style model painting. In the early 1980's Nima was exposed to new artistic horizons and in 1984 joined Yoav Shuali's painting studio in Givatayim, Israel. During this period she acquired advanced techniques and since then has mainly focused on painting the beloved scenery of the Holy Land. In the years 1987-1989, she studied sculpture at the Art College in Ramat Hasharon with the sculptor Sonia Natra. In 1992, she received a certificate of appreciation for her artistic achievements from the Bnei Brit Association. Exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. Sold photos at auctions on the BidSpirit website, represented by the Montefiore Gallery, Tel Aviv.
