Hello my name is Martin Jones and I'm a British / Italian artist currently based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, UK. Originally from the North West of England, I studied Fine Art at Manchester University I then moved to the South Coast about 23 years ago. My early years were dominated by traditional printmaking and teaching others the wonderful processes of screen printing, lithography, etching and woodblock printing. I then decided to pursue a career in graphic design, taking timeout from the art world, diving into design. It wasn't until about 8 years ago that I decided to start printmaking again and then painting. My work is based on a mixture of different subjects from landscapes, experiences from my life and situations I've been in. I try to convey the emotions I feel through strong, bold colours and large abstract and figurative shapes.
