Painting, Oil on Canvas
Size: 23.6 W x 31.5 H x 1.4 D in
Ships in a Box
This painting, realized on overlapping canvases in 2014, represents the concept of the persistence of the art during the various periods up to modernism. In a polluted and nebulous environment there is a cage full of mannequins, only one of them is outside and represents the art that will remain free of the conceptions of the world around us. It is made with a classical technique, oil on various glued canvases and then painted with Damar final varnish after a year of maturing. The surface of the painting is not linear, presents various plasticity of the material. There are 3 different scenes (the sea at night is painted on cardboard glued to the main canvas). Unique piece, on the back there is a criticism of the painting made by prof. Aldo M. Pero of the "Arte del XX secolo" movement, from Savona.
