ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This scene depicts the relationship between a young man and his favorite boyhood toy, Barky, still with him. Somehow he is conflicted, unable to let go of his childhood and it's memories. The oil set the vintage feeling I wanted and it should evoke a feeling of the ambivalence of moving forward into uncharted waters. This piece was painted on a second hand cutting board with rounded edges; it was gessoed prior to painting and ready for hanging.
