About The Artwork
Dogwood flowers hold deep rooted meaning for many. For myself, it's a flower that defines my small town while holding biblical meaning. I enjoy photographing these beauties year after year, finding the right composition for my paintings. In this particular painting, I didn't want to focus on a single flower, but the intricate space that is naturally created among these three flowers trying to make their way into the world. I wanted to draw particular attention to the center of the flowers along with their beautiful movement.
