I am inspired by natural form and patterns that repeat themselves at different scales. This piece was inspired by the connection between woodgrain and topographic maps.

Holes were drilled through wood panels to allow for yarn to be embroidered to the surface to create a subtle linear texture. The entire surface was then covered with graphite and buffed.
