About The Artwork

Artists often find it challenging to articulate the essence of their art in words. Instead, they create images that serve as a bridge between their inner world and outer reality, giving shape to ideas and emotions. In working on this series, I draw inspiration from the incredible diversity and beauty of the natural world. The textures, patterns, and colors of flora and fauna provide a rich palette for me to explore and express my creativity. As an artist, I believe that nature is the ultimate source of inspiration and wonder, and that its boundless creativity surpasses human imagination. Through my art, I aim to evoke a sense of awe and reverence for the beauty of life that nature inspires in me.

Nature is my primary source of inspiration, providing a rich tapestry of forms, textures, colors, flora, and fauna that inform and enliven my work. My focus is on capturing patterns, often at a macro level, with gentle transitions and a broad, vibrant color palette that reflects the natural world. I use colors, forms, lines, and my imagination to evoke associations and feelings of balance, joy, and inner wholeness. I work with a diverse range of media and techniques, including watercolor, pastel, and art glass. However, I am particularly drawn to batik on silk for its unique qualities of airiness, flow, and transparency. Silk's resemblance to flower petals or butterfly wings mirrors the beauty and complexity of the natural world, which inspires me deeply. In recent years, I have combined my passion for art with my role as an art therapist in the municipality of Stavanger, where I help women and children facing difficult life situations to find peace, balance, and creativity. I hold a 5-year degree in Clothing and Textile Design from the Academy of Industrial Design in St. Petersburg, which provides me with a strong foundation for my work. I am driven by a desire to capture the magic and wonder of the natural world and share it with others, both as an artist and a therapist. My work is a celebration of the beauty and complexity of the world around us, and I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to create and share it with others
