This is my interpretation of the the idea of the 'Tree of Life'. The concept of a tree of life has been used in biology, religion, philosophy, and mythology. It is a common motif in various world theologies, mythologies, and philosophies. It alludes to the interconnection of all life on our planet and serves as a metaphor for common descent in the evolutionary sense like a giant 'family tree'

I am predominantly interested in the natural world and the structures and connections that are inherent within from a microscopic to a massive level. There is a lot of bright colour in my work and my main aim is to create a harmonious balance between the many colours and forms within the composition. Through my work I hope to inspire the awe that I feel about nature and its interconnectedness in others. I use a variety of 2D media and my style is semi-abstract or realistic and there is often a symbolic element involved.
