True Brit Spirit #50 Painting

This piece is the first of my exploration of bigger format for the collection LIfe Savers, Life Savours . The first original, and then made to order works of True Brit Spirit explored colours but were all 30x30.The first serie of this collection was an exhibition shown in November/December 2014 in Santiago, Chile called "Life savours, Life savers. Every piece is composed of the painting, obviously, a text written at the back and sides of canvas and a song all inherently connected...at least in my brain, but let's see what it is doing for you... On the back of true brit Siprit, you can read Life Saver True Brit Spirit I’ll put the kettle on..And we’ll talk...In that order. About husband, about your metal fan teenager, crazy boss, your dress, your illness...whatever you’ll throw at your English friend will be faced and addressed, but only after tea has been brewed. God save the Queen and her subjects for keeping alive some priorities in this world : it’s not about me, it’s about you but first it’s about what is holding all of us together and keeps us standing. Yes, gin will make you forget but only tea will make you stand with the entire nation under pouring rain .
