A new vision for a big union, the united states of Africa for the people of African descent all over the world, a nation were Africans work together, love one another, this represents my Afro-futuristic vision as I express them on my canvas. Unity, companionship, togetherness, love, peace are all the major themes expressed in my painting
I want to trap or infect my viewer with my vision, I want the viewer to envision the same vision with me as I have clearly defined the figures to capture the attention my viewer.

My name is Stephen Aifegha, I was born in Lagos state; the western part of Nigeria often known as the New York of Nigeria, due to its metropolitan structure backed up with the daily hustle and bustle. My artistic practice is influenced by my identity and culture as an African, being born and raised in Nigeria. My subject matter and narrative as a contemporary African artist revolves around Post-colonialism, centering on historical, social, and cultural issues that concern Africa today. My art is an activism regarding these problems and issues faced by the continent of Africa. It draws back to post-colonial setbacks that have caused tremendous distress for Africa today.  I am a mixed media artist who uses original African fabrics and newsprint as a major element in my art, the African fabrics are used to show my identity as an African and give an insight into my subject matter or narrative as it concerns issues regarding the African continent and the diaspora, the newsprint at the other hand, I use to seek texture and make social commentary. Both the fabrics and newsprint put together create a feeling of dynamism to the viewer.
