Biography Mei Mei received her Master of Fine Arts in Photography from Ohio University 2002. She has exhibited her work in over thirty solo and group exhibitions. She has received numerous awards and residencies, including at the Vermont Studio Center, Great River Art Association, ARCH Residency at Honfleur Gallery, and second place in Contemporary South Exhibition. Recently, she has presented work at the 8th Annual Silent Auction & Benefit Party/ Transformer Gallery; 61 Exhibition at Honfleur Gallery (August 2011); Mapping Source installation curated by Pat Goslee at the Hillyer Art Space; WPA 2011 Art Auction Gala curated by Claire D'Alba; Sketchbook Exhibition at Transformer (April 2011); CultureScape Group Exhibition at the Addison Ripley Gallery (June 2011); DC (e)merge Art Fair (September 2011); and Adah Rose Gallery (October 2011). Mei Mei's work was selected in the Studio Visit Magazine Volume 10 2010 and was featured in The Studio Visit in June 2011. Upcoming shows include SELECT: WPA 2012 Art Auction Gala, and Demolish at Count Down Art Space. As a mixed media artist, Mei Mei explores various media to bridge her internal and external worlds. She is a lifelong student of the human psyche, fascinated by the mind's ability to focus on details great and small without limits. Using her internal symbols, she creates rich visual images that are both highly personal and reachable by all.
