Hello, I'm a shy artist from Turkey. I go by the name Su Suda, because 'su' means water in Turkish, and even though 'Suda' is a port in Crete, because '-da' is oblique, it also means 'in the water' in Turkish. My main art style is abstract art. I believe that abstract art gives me the opportunity to create in a completely different way. The human mind is limited to what it knows, and to create something it combines what it knows. Aliens created by humans, for example, have the characteristics of beings that humans have seen and learned. But this contradicts the true definition of "creating from nothing" In my opinion, the closest way to create something is hidden in an abstract concept. It's as if I externalize my subconscious out in a colourful, harmonious way, but after I'm done with it, it becomes independent. And I want it to be like a living thing. I want it to make everyone feel something different, see something different. Over time, it should also change through the viewer's mental perspective, like a growth. That's why I don't like to give names to my works. Because any name I give them would limit their potential. There is a stanza in a poem by İlhan Berk, a Turkish poet. It reads as follows: "Naming is death." I don't believe in the forced mandate of art to "convey a message" People tend to expect a function and expect that art must have an enlightening message. The meaning of joy is no small thing. In my opinion, true enlightenment is the realisation that joy is a must for a human life. Joy and luxury make life worth living, because otherwise, if we lived only for work and food, why did we evolve this way? I don't mean that owning a billion different cars and using the most expensive products is luxury. I mean that we enjoy life to the hilt. Realising this frees people from modern slavery and clears the way for progress.
