The palette of the works in my recent series are triggered by my reaction to couture runway shows and were all created in the last year. They represent my love of the fusion of painting, collage, and fashion.

The paintings are also autobiographical in that I include a narrative of elements that I resonate with, whether it triggers memories of being raised in Miami Beach and sailing to my work in the fashion industry or partying within the 80s NYC art scene. This piece in particular has a landscape loosely inspired by Calabria, where my family is from in Italy. I've created a process where I appropriate images from art and fashions magazines, transferring to canvas using only the reverse of ink, using them very loosely as compositional elements. The ever-changing results are eventually marked over with thick oil sticks and texture and movement starts to build and expand through the canvas.

All the pieces are created with high quality oil and are varnished using a UV protective varnish. They are all framed in a grey wood artist frame and ready to hang.
