Waiting for a thunderstorm. Abstract, landscape Painting

I am a professional artist with over 20 years of experience. I was born in Taganrog and currently live and work in Izmir, Turkey. I work in the genres of Impressionism, expressive abstraction, and realism. In my paintings, I enjoy using impasto strokes with oil and acrylic, palette knife, wide brushes, and textured surfaces. I often work alla prima, allowing the painting to emerge directly on the canvas without preliminary sketches. I experiment with texture paste and mixed media to make each work lively and unique. I find inspiration in nature, architecture, and everyday details: the sea, mountains, forests, sunrises, sunsets, and unusual clouds, as well as fruits and vegetables with their distinctive shapes. Pomegranates, quince, pears, persimmons, and pumpkins hold a special place in my art — for me, they are not just objects, but images with their own story and character. My style is shaped at the intersection of Impressionism and abstract expressionism. I am inspired by the works of Claude Monet, Van Gogh, Pollock, Rothko, Kandinsky, and other artists. For me, painting is a dialogue between my inner world and reality. The subject is not as important as the emotion: I want the viewer to feel the atmosphere of the moment and notice the beauty in simple things.
