This piece is unframed. The paper is 22 w x 18.5 h. The image is 18.5 w x 16 H. I used a method called grisaille where you paint the darks of the shadow areas first. I added splatter to the piece after painting the wood grain to give it a sense of movement. I added purples to the warm areas to contrast with the greens of the chairs. I zoomed in for a more intimate feeling in the piece.
