This painting is from a series of work based on streams, ponds and lakes, which explores the mystery of wild water, of ecosystems, of life beneath the surface, and of wild watery places in nature that are left to their own devices. Here I am focusing on the dynamism of colour, gestural repetition and reflection as well as the colours of autumn. I have responded to what I see but this work also encompasses notions of the unseen which can be felt and perceived.
