Erik is a Belgium/Sweden based artist. He is a self made man, but took some guidance from the renouned realism artist Paul De Roy. (). Erik is drawn to nature. The subjects in his paintings are often animals, mainly birds. He sees painting as a craft. He mixes traditional technique with modern photorealism, playing with light and deliberately blurring parts of his works to gain realism. Starting 2018, Erik runs an art and paining school in Mariaburg, Belgium. He teaches his students the techniques of fine art oil painting.
