About The Artwork
Waves is a painting which shows the beauty and liveliness of nature in all its colors as well as the enormous liveliness of water in particular. The sea or the water has a promise of infinity, which I have tried to capture. Through the special colors, such as the dark turquoise with the blue, and the movements, I wanted to convey "joie de vivre" and help the viewer to be happier and more relaxed. This work is done in several layers of oil paint, both with palette knife and fingers, and some "splashes" at the end of the design process. This painting is an elegant beauty that simultaneously depicts the energy and tranquility of nature. It is a painting that can be an eye-catcher in any room. This painting is painted on 2cm gallery deep canvas and is ready to hang with colored matching sides.

Sabine Kay is an abstract artist, born 1964 in Hamburg, Germany, and now living in Luxembourg. She has always had a passion for art, but rediscovered this only some years ago. And now, with the kids getting older, she is moving into a new phase of her life: an art-life. In the beginning she worked realistic, but over the years she learned that in abstract art she could better express herself. While painting she is building the oil colours layer upon layer with a colour palette ranging from soft and serene to vibrant and invigorating. Her inspiration comes from nature itself or photographs. Painting means to her to create something by herself that reflects her impression of nature and its many and always changing Colours.
