As a self-taught artist whose artist began in her late 40-s, I have gone a long way in a short time. It has been a joyful way of learning, searching, and exploring. I started as a representational painter, with watercolors but soon found myself constrained by the rules of the medium. I moved on to explore my potential and the possibilities of acrylics and oils. As my knowledge of the painting media and my skills took to a higher level, I felt compelled to communicate something beyond conventional visual language and allowed myself to explore abstraction, to be able to communicate beyond the traditional imagery. I find abstraction more challenging but also a more authentic way to express the excitement I find in playing and experiencing the power and potential of color, line, form, space, light and textures. I actively participate in the local and international artist community, take part in art shows and exhibitions, charity events. My works can be found in private collections around the world.
