We are not the bringers of destruction Painting

These are white-backed vultures (Gyps africanus), suffering dramatic population declines across Africa, and currently classified as Critically Endangered. We associate them with death and destruction, but of course we're the species that is relentlessly destroying everything that's beautiful. Including vultures. My art has a burning political message. There are people who say that art shouldn't have a political message, that pure art should be just esthetics. I disagree. Alkyd oils on canvas, with acrylic underpainting and some use of graphite pencil. Canvas edges black. Signed and dated bottom right.
