ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The River Kennet runs through the village where I live in Wiltshire, UK; my aim in this painting is to capture the light as it filters through the dense leaf canopy and onto the river surface. With all my work I first make sketches on site in pencil and in watercolour and then work up my findings into a final painting when I'm back in my studio.
