Calming greens and soft grey oil paint have been delicately layered, to create this Welsh landscape painting. Lively brushstrokes give texture and depth to the misty sky. The quiet road leading across the countryside and into the distance, with the water gushing beneath creates an atmosphere of order, balance and peace. This artwork is ready to hang. Painted with Michael Harding Professional artists oil colour on a mounted wood board. The edges are painted white (please see additional photograph), so it can be displayed framed or unframed. This artwork is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. For shipping, this piece will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper, foam board and bubble wrap, then placed in a sturdy cardboard box.

Lizzie Butler is an expressive, semi abstract artist, who works in a contemporary style in oil. Her strong spatial awareness and a passion for working en plein air, inform her practice and lead to paintings that recreate the intangible atmosphere found in landscapes and the peaceful silence of nature. Most of her paintings are begun outside and completed in her London studio. Although working primarily in oil, Lizzie also enjoys the physicality of exploring etching with zinc and steel plates, to create intaglio prints. Lizzie Butler's artwork has been exhibited at Leighton House Museum, Kensington, London, The Russell Gallery, London, and several other Galleries. Lizzie's paintings can be found in collections in America, New Zealand, the UK and across Europe, with several customers returning to buy further paintings and place commissions. March 2019 - Two pieces shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Arts summer exhibition.
