When We Are Asleep - Limited Edition XL Canvas Print Painting

This painting by an award winning artist was inspired by a dream the artist had where she saw that as she was falling asleep she was connecting to something greater than herself. This was conveyed visually by placing the subject on a spiral staircase climbing from the earth to the stars and laying to rest underneath the glow of the sky/heavens. The painting is painted using a process that begins with photomerging and ends by painting the image in high detail in oil paint on board. It is intended to convey a feeling of peace and expansion and our place in the universe.
