Painting, Oil on Canvas

Oil on american canvas without frame. The title of the work is inspired by the artist Joseph Beuys. In this painting I deal with the fertility of our and the next generation. The rabbit stands for sexuality and is one of the animals who survived several ecological changes due to it's hyper sexuality and high reproduction. Will the human race survive?

Austria
I paint very expressively and impulsively with a raging energy. Most of my paintings are quite huge and I usually use abstract compositions that are based on realistic forms and a wide range of hues. I mix my paint on my palms as one would on a palette. Directly on the canvas or even on my jeans. When I finish a painting there is color everywhere and everything is quite messy. The way I paint is somehow even brutal and excessive. Through the painting process I face my own truth about my seemingly deepest thoughts and feelings. It is also a way to go through both personal and collective trauma. My artworks convey messages from the inner world. My paintings touch upon the questions of existence, femininity, capitalism, identity, roots and trauma. The unconscious parts of our psyche. In my paintings the female body is exposed to the viewer. The depiction of bodies in my paintings touches upon my vulnerability and sensitivity towards the unfolding events of an everchanging and precarious world. What concerns me the most is our permanent existential crisis as a result of the defective nature of life and the world. Everything around me that makes me feel uncomfortable and makes me express myself is part of this existentialist struggle.
