Wild Trees - Baltic Sea I Painting

I found this extraordinary place nearby one of the walking dunes while backpacking along the Polish coast of the Baltic Sea. These two trees are connected by endless mutual pain. The older tree, with one of the branches, cuts into a flesh of the younger one. On the incessant wind it is causes constant friction in the open wound and this friction actually can be heard. It was the sound that took my attention. It was a few days before summer solstice. Oil on cotton 80 x 60 cm 2018 Signed on the front ( "Fladrif" ) and on the back [ "Wojciech Pater (Fladrif) 2018" ] Top-quality 100% cotton canvas stretched over a solid wooden bars. Based on years of experience, I use only the best quality artist paints - Royal Talens and Maimeri and verified, traditional painting mediums. Sides of the painting are not painted and they are splattered with paint (not much, mostly on the bottom), but the painting is ready to hang also without a frame, if that's preferred.
