About The Artwork
It is a tumultuous, savage time in the beautiful Pacific Northwest among the glorious trees and lakes and wildlife. And in my neck of the woods, just a stone's throw from Portland, Oregon, it's up close and personal, from human violence to nature's wildfire fury, a time of plague and hazardous air. Captured here in four emotional landscapes is how it rises out from me experiencing these times. Painted with oils, though some of the ink and acrylic underpainting shows through here and there. Four panels, each 15" x 30" x .75"/ 38 x 76 x 2 cm, the colors continue around the sides. ©2020 Valerie Erichsen Thomson
