Krišjānis Brūvelis is a Latvian based artist whose cultural background include both – the European classics, as well as the Orient. Starting graphics & art from an early age in 90’s, he has acquired skills from various different masters, allowing him to develop his own techniques. “I try not to think too much, but rather let the art flow freely. I can liken creating art to a kind of meditation and I do manage to enjoy both the process and the result. The art is of course a kind of author's self-expression after all”. What cannot be expressed in any other way can be expressed through art. It provides an insight into the unknown, the often unspeakable to man, the dimension in which thought rarely enters. An artist can be a channel, a tool of the universe and simply carry, transmit the message. “The art depends often on the place and time where they are made. My works are liked and appreciated by people who like mysticism. Any time there is a desire to go delve deeper into the work, to see more, it opens a new perspective for the observer. They do not cease to engage.” Author’s work has been mainly exhibited and acquired by private clients in Latvia, Rwanda, Brussels, Germany, and UK, where they have been described as not only a fashionable interior objects, but also works of energetical cleansing. “I wish for people more peace and balance and I am using my paintings to materialize this intention.” Can be also found on
