ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The painting is a result of, and inspired by the stay home culture, forced unwillingly on the populations of most countries around the world in 2020. The view seen from within out, is, and has been over the time of the pandemic, sometimes the only source of the outside world especially during the lockdown period. Looking out through a window also refers to the individual and their state of mind. What you see is not what you actually see but what you perceive on an emotional level. Seen here in this painting is isolation. Although subtle and muted there are pops of colour alluding to an end of isolation and a new beginning emerging. The painting is presented in a white wooden frame approx 17x17x1.5cm. Glazing is optional. Copyright remains with the artist.

My inspirations are Paul Klee, Mark Rothko and Kandinsky. I like the use of vibrant colour and shape. As a child I was inspired by my mum who is an artist in her own right.
