Ksenia Chertkova is a Europe based artist, who was born in 1993 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. In 2010s Ksenia began her journey throughout the old cities of EU, that has been the greatest driver for her creative work. Ksenia explores different concepts in her art: travelling throughout the countries (art series "Traveller"), life of a woman (art series "Et Dieu créa la femme", and human emotions (art series "Abstract I"). "Life in France, Austria and Italy...my endless voyages through the most beautiful cities of the world gives me ability to look on human's life through the magnifying glass of diversities, tradition, history, human nature, relationships and feelings. My art is about my life and therefore it is about human's life. Every person is unique and we should treasure every feeling we experience" - says Ksenia. While Ksenia feels the great importance of Old Masters’ painting techniques, she is always eager to explore new techniques in her art. She adds the uniques flavour of old masters' works to her modern paintings. She tries to use centuries’ experience in painting techniques to show the power of realism and depth of eternal philosophic thought.
