ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Studying the Russian Realism I was fascinated with the way winter is depicted and because it's one of my favorite seasons, it was a pleasure to paint this beautiful landscape from a remote town in the Eastern Europe. Capturing the coldness of the snow and the beauty of it in oil paint, it's as fascinating as playing with the snow. Look and see, you may be tempted to create a snowman from it.

Through studying the masters of the past and practicing plein air, I intend to produce paintings that are sincere and that carry a well-refined representation of beauty.
